2nd Shift Manufacturing Laborer - Slitter
Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Laborer to be based out of Phoenix, AZ. Experience in a manufacturing environment or working around equipment in a physical and fast paced role preferred.
What you’ll do:
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Tectron Safety guidelines.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Tectron Quality guidelines.
- Comply with all site 5S standards and continuous improvement initiates.
- Work with urgency and a professional attitude to meet customer demand and standards.
- Perform efficient banding of slit coils using banding tools and other equipment.
- Read and understand detailed and complex work orders.
- Work with entire slitter crew to communicate issues and ensure quality production.
- Assist with slitter changeover procedures within a team.
- Perform quality inspection utilizing quality plan and inspection tools.
- Visually inspect coils for quality and surface defects to ensure quality compliance.
- Recognize slitter area problems, help diagnose issues and be part of the solution.
- Troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively with technicians and staff.
- Accurately complete required production and labor reporting paperwork.
- Read micrometers and calipers.
- Perform high quality work while meeting production efficiencies.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- Must be able to read tape measures, micrometers and calipers.
- Must be able to visually inspect product.
- Must be able to add/subtract/multiply/divide.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to perform job while standing.Must be able to lift material/parts from the floor. (max. 40 lbs.)
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete initial training.
- Be able to complete set ups, adjustments, and change overs
- Recognize slitter problems and take corrective measures
