Who we are looking for:

Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is currently searching for a Quality Technician (Night Shift) - based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Quality Lead, monitor operations and processes to ensure products are being produced according to standards. They review specifications, oversee processes and identify defects in goods and materials. Some quality control inspectors make suggestions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of machines and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based companies is a plus. 

What you’ll do:

  • Perform regular audits in-process audits to ensure processes and products comply with standards.
  • Run required tests such as dimensional, impact, burst, crush, and any other pertinent or requested test.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and daily plausibility tests are done and recorded.
  • Keep a record of analysis, tests audit results, and any other Quality Documents
  • Lead Quality New Hiring Training and Quality Training for Production Clerks.
  • Support Production troubleshooting problems in the lines.
  • Manage sample requests/returns (field returns)
  • Support Material trials.
  • Communicate problems to Production + QA
  • Performing application testing following functional requirements
  • Gathering and organizing testing metrics, including bug tracking, to support testing activities
  • Coordinating and performing QA activities for release cycles
  • Managing and maintaining test plans and test cases to achieve objectives.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of QA test environments
  • Perform incoming inspection.
  • Assisting with test automation efforts
  • Perform QA Inspection in the PAD Reject

What you’ll bring:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Quality Assurance and Manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in a variety of precision measuring devices including calipers, micrometers, and custom fixtures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).
