Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this person’s primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Also, this person will be responsible for conducting, daily, weekly, monthly PM’s. Conduct repairs on plant equipment.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines and equipment.
  • Performs maintenance on buildings and grounds.
  • Will have the ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.
  • Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Will assist the Production Department with die assemble, die cleanup, startups and shutdowns.
  • Will perform tool changes on Belling Machines and Perforators when required.
  • Will monitor stock levels of Maintenance supplies and spare parts and inform supervisor of items needing to be ordered.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent. 
  • Experience with material conveyance systems and/or PVC extrusion operations preferred but not required.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • 3-5 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment
  • Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skill sets.
  • Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as dis-assembly.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Complete any required training
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
