Job Description

Association Management Center seeks an  Education & Learning Coordinator  to join our team. This role supports AMC’s client, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). AAHPM works to provide members and customers with education, resources, and tools they need to succeed in their changing environments and develop professionally. AAHPM’s core purpose is to improve the care of patients with serious or life-threatening conditions through advancement of hospice and palliative medicine. Since 1988, AAHPM has supported hospice and palliative medicine through advancement of clinical practice standards, fostering research, providing education, and through public policy advocacy. Membership includes more than 5,200 physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Education & Learning Coordinator supports the education team in providing high quality, accredited education programming.

Education

  • Develop and apply proficient working knowledge of Association Management Software and educational platforms (learner management system (LMS), abstract and speaker management system and other technologies.
  • Coordinate and support the planning, development, and evaluation of education products and programs.
  • Serve as liaison to client, service teams, and customers with inquiries related to products and programs.
  • Apply a working knowledge of the accreditation criteria established by our accrediting body (ACCME) and medical specialty boards for educational programs and products to include PARS data platform and ACCME accreditation compliance guidelines adherence.
  • Support the smooth functioning of AAHPM committees and management of faculty and subject matter experts (SME), by assisting with scheduling, logistics, material collection and distribution, meeting minutes, and to foster collaboration where necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships as they relate to continuing education and services and monitor expenses and invoices in collaboration with director.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, consistency, and program improvement.
  • Create, track, and maintain metrics regarding attendance, reach, and effectiveness of activities.

Workforce and Career Development

  • Provide support and resources for HPM participation in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP).
  • Maintain up-to-date listings of HPM Fellowship directors/coordinators, institutions, and total number of HPM positions available and develop reporting on same by ACGME core programs.
