Job Description
The Lift Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of lift maintenance for the maintenance and inspection of ski lifts and related equipment utilized in on-mountain operations. As well as managing the lift maintenance staff and safely operating equipment on a regular basis.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $78,000 - $102,000. However, actual pay will be dependent on experience. All our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
• Manage lift maintenance staff including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a timely manner
• Prepare and manage to annual budget
• Advise and recommend purchasing decisions for equipment, capital investment, design and operation
• Maintain equipment and machinery to meet compliance standards for all regulations established by the respective government entities
• Ensure timely and accurate pay for all employees
• Prepare staff for risk & safety audits and OSHA audits
• Maintain positive working relationship with all departments
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Valid, current unrestricted driver’s license required
• Minimum 5 years of lift maintenance experience required
• Strong computer skills required
• Welding and metalworking skills required
• Prior management experience preferred
• Previous ski industry lift maintenance preferred
• Ability to obtain ASC snowmobile license
• Must pass background and DMV check
Additional Information
Supervision given and received
Given: Exercises direct supervision over salaried, and hourly Lift Maintenance staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under direct supervision of the Director of Lift Maintenance and under limited supervision of Mountain Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and physical demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
