About the Company: 

Our client is a leading alternative investment manager with $40 billion in AUM. The firm invests in the middle markets for private equity and portfolio companies. The primary responsibility of the Fund Accounting Vice President is to lead the fund accounting team with all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting for the firm’s managed private credit funds.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the monthly closing process for multiple managed funds, including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytic review
  • Review investor and parent company reporting, including financial statements, capital account statements, and discounted cash flow models
  • Responsible for the review of year-end audited financial statements
  • Ensure team is properly maintaining books, records, and covenant compliance in accordance with the entities’ governing documents
  • Participate in the onboarding of new funds, including set up of entities in accounting systems and creating reporting templates in accordance with governing documents
  • Review legal documents for new private credit funds and CLOs and ensure requirements are met and financial reporting is established
  • Verify management fees, distributions and capital calls are appropriately calculated based on the underlying investment management agreements and other legal documents
  • Review quarterly CLO trustee reports, waterfall calculations, and related invoices prior to distribution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with investment fund accounting
  • Experience managing a team a must
  • Knowledge of Wall Street Office, SAP, and Investran preferred
  • Leveraged lending and/or securitized lending industry knowledge a plus

Salary Range: 

$200,000-$300,000
