About the Company:
Our client is an accounting and finance advisory and transactions firm supporting growth-stage companies and middle-market financial sponsors nationwide. The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for the ongoing accounting support for high-level clients and help build scalable operations through the implementation of a controllership function.
Responsibilities:
- Be the client-facing accounting lead for a variety of the firm’s growth-stage clients
- Communicate and provide exceptional service and support to the firm’s clients
- Analyze and reconcile client accounts; research and resolve discrepancies and find solutions to client issues
- Lead and manage working capital management activities
- Ensure that accounts are balanced, reconciled, and sync with the Accounting Master File
- Manage the month-end closing activities
- Actively listen to and identify clients’ operational issues; act as an expert consultant who can determine which financial operations software best suits their needs
- Learn and develop an operational toolkit to present to clients around operational solutions that will fit their growing business
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA required
- 5-8 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or auditing
- Prior QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online experience is a plus but not required
- Strong math skills and deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency with MS Office experience with demonstrated knowledge working with spreadsheets
Salary Range:
$120,000-$140,000
