Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Production Worker for our Frazier Park, CA plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by supporting the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Production Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks in the production process, including operating machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

What You'll Do:
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations, performing all assigned tasks in a safe and effective manner
• Operate skid steer and other support plant equipment
• Inspect machinery for potential mechanical failures, such as bearings, gears and rollers, etc.
• Perform area observations, including guarding, housekeeping, electrical and safe access deficiencies
• Monitor and maintain Kilns in proper operating limits
• Change and add oil to trunnions and gear boxes
• General clean-up in the fuel tank storage and lube areas
• Perform monthly inspections of all Fire Extinguishers, Eye Wash stations, First Aid Kits and AED to ensure they are in good working order
• Check and Maintain inventories for grease, oils, lubes and pipe fittings
• Perform other duties for fixed equipment located in the Plant
• Participate and maintain a clean and orderly workplace, not limited to your areas of responsibility, understanding that housekeeping is everyone’s responsibility
• Perform all necessary work area inspections, pre/post shift inspection and document discrepancies, including any fixed/heavy equipment checklist and or inspections

What You'll Need:
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Good working mechanical skills
• Ability to work with hand tools and shovels
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds
• The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Working knowledge of MSHA and OSHA standards and able to follow all safety rules and practices

Compensation:
• $17.49 - $22.49 / hour
• Production bonus eligible
