As a result of continued growth, we are currently seeking candidates for a Union 669: Journeyman in predominately serving Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.  As a Journeyman, you will be responsible for the servicing of automatic fire protection systems. Insurance and other benefits through offered through Local 669 Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Technician to cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threading machines.
  • Fire pump, testing, dry valve, pre-action and everyday repairs.
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot & repair fire suppression systems.
  • Customer oriented, ability to articulate and present themselves in a professional manner.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines
  • Must have a valid Journeyman license
  • Must have valid state license and backflow certification

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift ­­up to at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Strong mechanical background preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
