Amyx is currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst to support our client DHA in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Daily Task: Shall assist and support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) with system administration of procurement systems. We are looking for an experienced, resourceful Lead Business Analyst to help support system administration and support a new contract writing system. Under minimal supervision, you will work as a member of the Acquisition Systems Division team, working closely with the customer to support procurement functions.
- Shall assist and support lead and provide technical direction involving multiple projects of high complexity with the DoD.
- Utilize extensive procurement information systems experience to provide effective solutions to end-user functional, technical, user access, and training support requests for Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2), and other DoD and DHA procurement and financial systems.
- Assist and support efforts directing the completion of projects within estimated timeframes and budget constraints.
- Contractor shall support a new contract writing system.
- Provide support in building interfaces between systems, particularly with finance systems.
- Escalate risks, issues, concerns, and recommended solutions to client.
- Demonstrated communications skills with all levels of management.
- Ability and initiative to set goals and execute.
- Coordinate and conduct customer work sessions to gather and document requirements.
- Configure system settings based on customer requirements.
- Collaborate to translate business requirements into system requirements for configuration.
- Develop subject matter expertise for system capabilities.
- Self-starter with initiative and aptitude to quickly learn and put new skills to use.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to properly prioritize, multi-task and work collaboratively with our project team.
- Assist to develop and approve communication strategies.
- Assist to prepare and deliver presentations and lead senior level client meetings.
- Assist to prepare and present systems training to users.
- Support the development of an initial system roll-out training plan for the most effective rapid deployment.
- Provide support and assist with system user issues.
- Provide support on any other identified tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business. One year of related work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
- Extensive knowledge of Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) administration and functionality.
- Extensive knowledge of the procurement business process.
- Extensive (minimum of 5 years) of experience in Project Management, Estimation, and Planning.
- Extensive (minimum of 5 years) of experience in procurement field in the public and/or private sector.
- Extensive (minimum of 5 years) of experience with system administration in the public and/or private sector.
- Extensive (minimum of 5 years) of experience within the DoD.
- Experience (minimum of 5 years) with IT systems functional analysis, requirements design, test development, and test execution.
- Knowledge of the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in working both independently and with a team to solve problems.
- Self-starter with initiative and aptitude to quickly learn and put new skills to use.
- Experience working in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings to facilitate and support the contract requirements.
- Support on any other identified tasks.
