Registered Nurse-Per Diem (PRN)

Maryland Endoscopy Center is an outpatient endoscopic facility specializing in colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper endoscopy. We have multiple procedure rooms with state-of-the-art safety and diagnostic equipment, in addition to recovery bays for added privacy. Construction for the Endoscopy Center began in August of 1994, with the center opening for business in November of 1994.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently searching for a Per Diem (PRN) Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks.  Major responsibilities include:

• Prepare patients for procedures
• Assist physician during procedure;
• Provides care for patients in recovery and actively participate in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing 
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably, in an ambulatory surgery center
• RN with active license, no restrictions 
• CPR certification and/or ACLS-PALS certification 
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Basic computer skills

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least one year of registered nurse experience.
