ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reviews physician orders for entry into pharmacy computer
• Assists pharmacist in preparation for medications, IV solutions, and maintenance of records. Assures pharmacist checks all orders before medication is delivered.
• Makes rounds to the patient care areas, picking up orders and delivering medications and IV solutions prepared.
• Accurately fills medication
• Prepackages bulk drugs into unit-dose packages, maintains
• Participates in inventory control activities, determines supplies needed to maintain adequate inventory and reorders as necessary.
• Unpacks, verifies and stores medications received from wholesaler and

EDUCATION/Experience:

• High school diploma or the
• Possession of a current Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Previous pharmacy technician experience
