The Center for Digestive Endoscopy’s dedicated staff has helped thousands in the Orlando community since opening its doors in 2002. The outpatient, state-of-the-art endoscopic facility specializes in colon cancer screening and diseases involving the digestive tract. Orlando Business Journal recently ranked us the first largest freestanding ambulatory surgery center in Central Florida.

The RN Performs nursing care for the patient, assessing and documenting patient’s status throughout their stay. Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient, and informing surgeon or anesthetist of observed complications/ issues pre/intra/post.

SUMMARY:

  • Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for management of the recovery room.
  • Organizes nursing activities efficiently, considering staff abilities when delegating activities.
  • Uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care.
  • Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.
  • Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels throughout the center.
  • Maintains order and cleanliness.
  • Performs safe and individualized nursing care for the patient.
  • Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
  • Monitors patients and informs surgeon or anesthetist of observed complications.
  • Develops plan of care for the patients based on the assessment data.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED certificate recipient
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • RN with active license in appropriate state
  • CPR certification
  • Evidence of leadership qualities
  • Strong ethical and moral character references
  • Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal and telephone communication in American English
