Eastern Massachusetts Surgery Center is specially designed to perform same day procedures - those which require more care than can be offered in your doctor's office but which do not require an overnight hospital stay. Your care will be provided by the same highly skilled personnel with the same training found in most large facilities. Surgery takes less time from your family and work schedule and, in many instances, you may resume your routine schedule the next day.
We are currently searching for Full Time Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays (32hrs) in our PreOP/Admitting & Recovery/PACU area who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: prepares patients for procedures; assist physician during procedure; provides care for patients in recovery and actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
- RN w/active license, in MA, no restrictions
- One (1) year of nursing experience PreOP/Admitting, recovery/PACU preferably, in an ambulatory surgery center
- CPR certification and/or ACLS-PALS certification (as required by Center)
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Basic computer skills
- OR /Peri-op experience a plus
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least two years of registered nurse experience.
