We are looking for an experienced Full Time Front Desk Receptionist for our office in Mountainside!

Receptionist clerical position responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner and greeting/assisting visitors in the same manner. Must have experience with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.

Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Management of phones to include answering, appointment scheduling, proper routing of calls and screening of patient requests.
  • Reviews schedule in advance to avoid conflicts.
  • Confirms that all charts are ready and have appropriate paperwork.
  • Addresses patient in a timely and effective manner
  • Keeps in constant communication with Business Office Manager.
  • Performs other duties as needed to ensure the office operations run efficiently.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulations
  • Daily Tasks include, but are not limited to: confirming appointments, verify insurance, verify I.D. of each patient, pre-authorizations, medical record requests to be completed within 72 hours and infection control record keeping. Also will be a back up to office Scheduler.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Must have experience with insurance verifications.
  • One year of experience in a health care environment.
  • Prevents, calms, or defuses irate callers and/or patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Recent Medical Office: 2 years (Preferred)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Spanish (Preferred)

Schedule & Pay

  • 8 hour shift
  • From $16.00 per hour
  • Bonus pay
