Metropolitan Gastroenterology Associates is a single specialty gastroenterology and hepatology (liver disease) practice serving the New Orleans area that includes 22 physicians with three office locations. These physicians, along with three additional local gastroenterologists, comprise the medical staff of its three affiliated endoscopy centers – MGA Gastrointestinal Diagnostic & Therapeutic Centers. Our Board Certified doctors are experts in all aspects of their specialties, including colon cancer screening procedures, treatment of GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and treatment of diseases of the liver and pancreas.

We are currently searching for a Full Time Registered Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays (6:45am - 3:15pm) who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks.  Major responsibilities include admitting patients for procedures, providing care for patients in recovery and actively participating in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least one year of registered nurse experience.
