Territory Sales Manager

SUMMARY

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for creating and sustaining close relationships in an assigned vertical. A key component is the building and use of your professional business network. You will determine potential clients and convert them into sales opportunities. You will also improve sales performance through forecasting and provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for securing net new logos and ensuring the onboarding is effective and customer focused.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies regional sales opportunities and generates leads from your strong business network and prospecting via LinkedIn or other tools provided by the company.
  • Creates and implements effective sales strategies to achieve/exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Prepares and presents sales presentations and proposals and drives client contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the IAQ space and address client inquiries and concerns.
  • Prospecting, selling, business development and manage sales pipeline and forecasting.
  • Creates and sustains close relationships within the assigned industry.
  • Ability to overcome technical, sales and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Prepare onsite and online presentations and proposals for clients.
  • Analyzes software market trends and client needs in the IAQ space.
  • Travels regionally (approximately 50% of the time)

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience with an annual quota
  • Dental industry experience: dealer networks, dental equipment or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or industry regulations.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding annual quotas and a “Hunter Mentality.”
  • Must be comfortable in entrepreneurial environment; tools and support are provided to be successful.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in an effective manner.
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Contract Management Systems, Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce preferred), Project Management Software, Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), and Presentation Software (PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, social, and organizational skills to build relationships based on trust, reliability, and consistency.
  • Determined and self-motivated and a good listener
  • Attention to detail, team player, and customer-focused.
