Job Title: Southeast Regional Sales Director

The Opportunity:

The Southeast Regional Sales Director is tasked with professionally managing and growing our revenues in the Southeast region of the US. Servicing and growing our existing client base in the area, as well as researching, identifying, qualifying, and closing new business with hotels and hospitality groups in the Southeast region are paramount to your success. This position is also responsible for expanding some of our current partners and selling to areas we have yet to establish a solid foundation in.

This position involves outbound prospecting of new clients through multiple communication methods, qualifying business requirements, accurate assessment of needs, generating recommendations and proposals, overcoming objections, and closing new business.

This is a combined inside sales and field sales position that requires regular travel to prospective customer sites and meeting with prospective customers on a daily or weekly basis, as well as attending appropriate networking events, conferences, and other identified external opportunities for new business development.

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for developing leads as well as following up on referrals and marketing generated leads. Qualifying the leads and developing them into meaningful opportunities for new business by following a proven sales process are critical factors in this role.

Basic Functions:

  • Develop new opportunities through networking, partner meetings, prospecting, in-person meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Engage suspects and convert them to qualified prospects, and ultimately new clients.
  • Ability to demonstrate an effective prospecting discipline and experience that includes phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Prepare and issue proposals and quotes for assigned prospects. Follow through to close.
  • Identify and develop new contacts and new opportunities within assigned client demographic / territory, from initial contact through close.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned monthly new revenue and activity quotas.
  • Utilize and maintain CRM, Estimating and Inventory tools with complete and up to date information on all stages of engagement with assigned prospects.
  • Pre-plan travel and visits to maximize client-facing time and minimize travel time between visits, provide and confirm visit plans/meeting agendas to clients for each scheduled visit.
  • Facilitate marketing efforts by regularly communicating discovered needs, trends, beneficial events and other market intelligence.
  • Work closely with and offer support and guidance to the Client Success Manger(s) in the Southeast Offices.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Actively participate in weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy.
  • Attend trade shows; network and prospect for new opportunities, qualify and capture leads, demonstrate products, gather feedback, and market intelligence.
  • Conduct pre-qualifying discussions with prospects over the phone or videoconference to understand the key metrics, identify the economic buyer, evaluate the decision criteria, understand their pain points, and identify an internal champion.
  • Report liability situations to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Practice integrity, reliability and honesty in all business transactions.
  • Work with co-workers to ensure company success.
  • Monitor and guide the completion of orders to a client’s satisfaction, as well as monitor and address issues of inventory stocking levels and costs, and Accounts Receivable issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of hospitality sales and/or management experience
  • Solid understanding of the Hospitality marketplace and branded collateral
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have experience with the hotel industry
  • Critical thinker with dynamic networking, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Ability to create and execution on monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Outstanding presence, communication skills, and credibility
  • High proficiency using MS Office applications
