The Director of Robotics and Machine Learning responsible for leading and overseeing an automation and robotics team focused on solutions to support LOB objectives to increase process efficiency, improve quality, and reduce operational risk through automation. Responsible for the architecture, design, development, and support of all process automations and also works closely with business areas to identify additional and/or alternative solutions to support their processes including but not limited to business process management (BPM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

·      Lead automation and robotics projects to identify and understand process opportunities, assess automation feasibility, estimate development complexity and timelines, and support development resource planning needs.

·      Mentor and collaborate with automation and application engineers and other IT department professionals on issues related to process optimization.

·      Collaborates with all important stakeholders and coordinates activities in a secure, stable, nimble environment, commensurate with the best interests of customers and employees.

·      Present data, strategies, and recommendations to senior management to gain buy-in to strategic recommendations.

·      Research and analyze business problems to determine suitable intelligent automation solutions available in the market and communicate with business customers, strategic partners, and development teams.

·      Design and develop efficient automation processes with well-structured and easily maintainable code.

·      Create and maintain solution documentation in a timely fashion.

·      Troubleshoot development roadblocks, environment, and production issues and lead issue resolution with business and development teams with mitigation plans.

·      Develop Design Standards and Coding Guidelines to streamline the repeatable design, development, and release process.

·      Support the implementation of new automation processes within established change control processes.

·      Act as subject matter expert for RPA software and resolve any related issues as required.

Industry and Work Experience:

·      10+ years of experience related to automation

·      Expected to have experience with Process Analysis, Design, Implementation, and System Testing

·      Experience managing teammates is a plus.      

Academic:

·      Bachelor’s degree in technology or Microsoft designation required (may be substituted with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in this field)
