The Content Manager is responsible for planning, developing and implementing the overall bank's content strategy. They are responsible for managing the creation and production of both online and offline marketing content. The position demonstrates the Ameris Approach and aligns with the Bank’s Mission, Vision, Purpose, Experience Expectations, and Values. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

·     Develop content marketing strategies that drive demand generating and engagement metrics.

·     Understand the Bank’s targeted markets and craft the type of message that will best reach the audience.

·     Manage and execute the social media strategy across all social media channels.

·     Develop content to support and engage clients and employees throughout designated journeys.

·     Build and manage an editorial calendar to deliver content aligned with Bank objectives.

·     Work with internal stakeholders to identify article topics, coordinate and source copy, and meet deadlines to deliver quality thought leadership in a timely manner.

·     Identify and create video and visual graphics to capture attention and tell a story.

·     Ensure all content meets brand standards, in terms of style, quality, and tone as well as optimize content for search engines and social promotion.

·     Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.

·     Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.

·     Represent the Bank and Marketing team in a highly professional manner.

·     Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.

·     Maintain confidentiality; adhere to policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

·     Strong attention to detail.

·     Knowledgeable in best practices for writing for a variety of marketing tactics.

·     Resourceful, self-starter who works well independently. Sense of urgency and strong work ethic. Ability to take and act on feedback.

·     Strong time management and project prioritization skills.

·     Flexible and comfortable with managing multiple, changing deadlines.

·     Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·     Creative, innovative thinker.

·     Strong PC and Microsoft Officer Suite product proficiency.

·     Ability to manage vendor relationships in an effective manner with a partner-relationship attitude.

Industry and Work Experience:

·     Minimum 5 years of communications, advertising, graphic design, or journalism experience required.

·     Management experience preferred.

·     Marketing or communications experience in financial industry preferred.

Academic:

·     High school diploma or GED required.

·     Bachelor's degree in Marketing or minimum of 5 years' experience in in marketing, content marketing, or a related field required.
