Role: As a Graphic Design Specialist in the AmFirst Marketing Team, you will develop high-impact visual content for print, digital, and social media platforms. This role demands creative excellence in designing brochures, social media graphics, website elements, and other print and digital materials to elevate the brand presence of AmFirst.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Create visually engaging and on-brand graphics, including digital and print materials such as brochures, posters, banners, social media graphics, email templates, and website elements including landing pages and digital ads.
  • Maintain and enhance our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all design assets and materials.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand project objectives and deliver designs that align with marketing strategies and goals.
  • Generate creative content ideas and designs for marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
  • Maintain an asset inventory of collateral, stock photography and promotional materials. Select, retouch, color-correct and manipulate photography and images as needed.
  • Stay updated on design trends, industry standards, and competitor graphics to ensure our designs are fresh and relevant.
  • Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide informed, prompt, professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates
  • Ensure all forms of department communications are accurate, timely, and within budget guidelines.
  • Assist department manager in providing direction and recommendations to management based on current research data, regarding market strategies and directions the credit union should take.
  • Participate in team meeting and brainstorming sessions.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience - Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education - Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills - Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a solid online portfolio demonstrating a range of professional work in print ad digital media. Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Strong knowledge of WordPress.  Strong knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout design.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Independent, organized worker with great attention to detail who can set priorities and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with financial services or credit union industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements - Light lifting is required.
