Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the selection and development of process technologies for the manufacture of orthodontic products
• Work with cross functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, Regulatory, and Supply Chain personnel to resolve production and quality issues; use appropriate techniques to solve problems and develop efficient and sustainable manufacturing practices
• Conduct process capability studies and develop process controls as needed
• Contribute to appropriate risk management activities related to the manufacturing of medical devices
• Contribute to successful product development project completion by participating in process development and documentation activities
• Manage process optimization projects
• Conduct formal root cause analyses and corrective actions on quality concerns, process, safety, and environmental issues
• Develop project justifications and capacity analysis
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

Qualifications:

• BS Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering
• Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and project schedules
• Demonstrated data-driven problem-solving ability
• Understanding of DOE, SPC, and industrial statistics is desired
