Duties and Responsibilities:
- Release and manage purchase orders for assigned planner codes ensuring part/service delivery supports OTIF to customers. Action exception messages (expedite/delay/cancel).
- Interpret forecast and communicate to suppliers as required.
- Maintain system ordering parameters appropriately based on the forecast (ROP, ROQ, safety stock, lot sizes, etc.).
- Reconcile receipt and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate supplier data (contact information, T&C’s approved pricing, lead times, etc.).
- Support and monitor Kanban/VMI/visual procurement programs.
- Monitor supplier performance, and distribute supplier scorecards as required.
- Identify potential supplier consolidation opportunities; support new or resourcing activities.
- Ensure adherence to all procedures and regulations.
- Assist in developing RFQs, solicit quotes, analyze costs and terms, and perform cost/price analysis as requested by the Procurement Manager.
- Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through supplier audits and various objective performance measurements, including on-time delivery, level of quality, service, and price performance. Maintain key purchasing files.
- Assist the department as necessary with projects requiring research, reporting, etc.
- Communicate ECNs to suppliers as needed – coordinate phase in/phase out.
- Monitor and disposition supplier non-conformances, arranging returns and vendor recovery through issue closure.
- Assist with disposition of E&O as requested.
- Prepare and attend internal and external meetings as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Procurement Manager.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Supply Chain or Business required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in basic mathematics and units of measure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Office a plus.
- Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals, and other technical data.
- Good problem-solving skills including the ability to identify a problem in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, work well in group problem-solving situations, and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
