What you will be doing... Your IMPACT 

  • Responsible for the inspection, routine maintenance, maintenance and repair planning, and troubleshooting of the vessel’s main propulsion machinery, auxiliary machinery, and its various systems.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities for our fleet in a prompt manner, ensuring operational excellence and safety while reporting the progress to the Captain and Port Engineer.
  • Appoint assignments and direction to any Assistant Engineers who are assigned to the vessel from concept to completion, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of design changes, maintenance, and repair activities daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Report accurately the fuel, water, lube status, and consumption to the wheelhouse daily.
  • Ensure all parts used are re-ordered for the vessel.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to vessel crews, offering solutions during operational challenges.
  • Perform all work in accordance with ACBL safety & environmental policies. While abiding by all ACBL policies and USCG regulations.

What we are looking for... 

You will need to have: 

  • Must be able to meet ACBL physical examination requirements.
  • Must be able to travel to and from vessel and training locations via air or car travel.
  • Must be able to work a 6-hour on 6-hour off watch.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must maintain an active TWIC.

Even better if you have: 

  • Additional vocational training or US Coast Guard licensing.
