The Lehigh University Physics Department invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) to begin in summer 2025.  The VAP will be responsible for teaching two introductory and/or upper level astrophysics classes each semester, or an equivalent teaching load.  The VAP will also contribute to the scientific life of the department with participation in colloquiums, research group meetings, and other department activities.  The salary will be in the range of $64,000 to $66,000, including full benefits.

Candidates from all fields of astrophysics are encouraged to apply, including and especially those from groups who have traditionally been underrepresented in astrophysics.  We seek a candidate that has a commitment to an inclusive and collaborative academic community. The candidate should have a PhD in physics or astronomy by August 2025.
