Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a hands-on, results oriented leader with a keen ability to influence site leadership to drive a performance-based culture of innovation, accountability and customer focus. Hands-on recruitment experience and the ability to guide managers through the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, goal setting and performance management process is essential for this role. The Senior HRBP has demonstrated experience effectively coaching and developing managers and supporting the business at both a tactical and strategic level. Knowledge of and experience providing counsel for matters of employee relations, employment law, compensation and benefits programs, salary administration, career progression and leadership development is also essential for the role. This is an onsite role and will support 4 locations within a short distance. The position requires superior leadership behaviors of the Alcami core competencies and non-negotiables, as well as expertise in functional and technical knowledge of human resources management, employment law, change management and organizational development.
Essential Functions
- Establishes, develops, and maintains a strong partnership and relationship with site leaders, employees and team members to optimize the effectiveness of the organization and foster the Alcami Mindset culture.
- Provides site leaders support in near-term and longer-term talent management and planning including headcount planning, staffing initiatives, compensation and rewards, organizational effectiveness, team development, employee relations, performance management, and recognition programs.
- Provides hands on recruiting support for the site for staff level positions and partners with Global Talent Acquisition for recruitment for global and leadership positions in a manner that positively represents the Alcami brand.
- Coordinates company new hire orientation programs for the site, including facilitating discussion and overview of the Alcami Mindset culture and human resources and benefits presentations for day one orientation, and assists site leaders and Technical Trainers to ensure effective onboarding experiences to drive assimilation into the Alcami culture and to reduce time to proficiency.
- Partners with site leadership and Global Talent Development to support the development and implementation of successful leadership development programs to grow and enable leaders to drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus.
- Advises site leaders and employees on general benefit matters and collaborates with other HR team members to effectively manage unemployment claims, short-term and long-term disability claims and requests for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and requests for accommodations under the American’s Disability Act (ADA).
- Assists with conflict resolution and advises on employee relations issues and on the application of Human Resources policies, procedures and practices and employment law, standards and government regulations.
- Guides, directs and supports leaders in performance management and corrective action for progressive discipline up to and including the termination decision-making and approval process.
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of related human resources experience, including a minimum of 5 years of prior HRBP experience.
- Prior HRBP experience in the pharmaceutical, CDMO and/or manufacturing environments preferred.
