The HR Generalist position will service the West Alabama area.  It exist to provide high-quality service to Alabama Credit Union by ensuring human resources functions are uniformly applied, operating within the policies and guidelines established, and complying with regulations. 

Essential functions and responsibilities include performance planning and review; maintenance of compensation records; HR-related development and training, FMLA, Workers' Compensation and Disability administration; preparation and evaluation of job descriptions; job analysis, salary administration staff and manager training; applicant tracking, recruitment and employee selection; as well as onboarding for new team members.

Minimum Requirements Include: Three to five years of similar or related experience in Human Resources and working knowledge of employment and interviewing laws and practices are required.  Such laws include, but are not limited to, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA, ADEA, PPACA, PDA, FFCRA, Civil Rights Act, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA/HITECH. Technological skills must include MS Word, strong Excel and ability to use web and web-based applications, with the ability to create professional presentations using software (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.).
