Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for its Dallas, Texas office.

Working with the firm's Litigation Practice Group, the successful candidate will be highly motivated and possess a minimum of 5 years’ litigation experience, preferably in a regional or national law firm setting.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Assist and support all aspects of a heavy litigation practice;
• Effectively handle the multiple and varied responsibilities of case management and trial preparation;
• Draft and analyze legal documents;
• Perform legal research and work with discovery documents in a fast-paced team environment;
• Working knowledge of the Texas/Federal Rules of Civil Procedures and Texas Statutes;
• Trial experience, as well as experience summarizing medical records, organizing medical information for experts, depositions and trials is highly desired;
• The ability to exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and produce an accurate and high-quality work product are essential requirements for this position;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; and
• Strong working knowledge of computer applications and litigation support systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Relativity.
