Our customer, Headquarters United States Space Force ( HQ USSF) Director of Staff Security Office (SF/DSZ) is responsible for carrying out and providing administration and management of the collateral security program, administration and management as SSO USSF Region 3 for cyber, personnel activities relating to the Sensitive Compartmented Personnel Security Program, Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, and Special Access Program (SAP) security for United States Space Force (USSF) Field Command and the Space Staff. In addition, SF/DSZ enables USSF to meet all physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, information system security, COMSEC, and security training requirements to ensure information is protected and safeguarded in accordance with DoD instructions.
ADV was recently awarded as prime contractor for this mission.
We are seeking Security Specialists for this important initiative. Overall duties are but not limited to ensuring USSF compliance with SCI/SAP security requirements per DOD policies and preparing and processing visit requests for travelers to and from the organization via DISS and other systems and managing daily Special Access Program (SAP) operations.
This role is located at Joint Base Andrews, Pentagon, and other Space Force office locations within the National Capital Region (NCR).
An Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required for this role.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Assist with cognizant security authority in all security tasks, directorate facility security requirements and conduct all tasks to ensure security compliance.
- Process and manage all personnel security requirements for personnel assigned to or that have access to Collateral/SCI/SAP information utilizing SAP System of Record, and DISS.
- Reconcile personnel security files, records, and access lists.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for whether SAP and/or SCI access should be granted.
- Document processes and ensure the protection of sensitive information.
- Possess general knowledge of security concepts and principles as they apply to personnel security program by validating and ensuring that submitted documents meet acceptability criteria and take appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies or incomplete information.
- Manage appropriate records of annual self-inspections, security refresher training, combination changes, external facilities locations, accreditations, indoctrinations, inspections/staff assistance visits, and close-out information.
- Ensure proper classification markings, wrapping, handling, couriering, accountability, destruction, and records maintenance/disposition of all classified information. Perform investigations and report security infractions and violations.
- In adherence and knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and 6/9 provide accountability of electronic equipment, storage containers, and SCIF’s. Maintain door/safe combinations, SCIF inspections, SCIF/SAPF accreditations, Security Assessment Visits, and Fixed Facilities Checklist/Tempest addendums updates.
- Attending required technical and security training relative to assigned duties.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
- 3+ years of experience in Security and Information technology related field.
- Possess knowledge of appropriate security policy, concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve complex issues; skill in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improved the overall security program; and the ability to establish effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Within 6 months, obtain Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) course certifications in SAP Mid-level Security Management, Introduction to Special Access Programs, Introduction to DoD Personnel Security Adjudication, Derivative Classification, Protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and Defense Information Security System (DISS) Virtual Training for Security Professionals.
