The Air Force Research Laboratory is the primary scientific research and development center for the Department of the Air Force. AFRL plays an integral role in leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable warfighting technologies for our air, space, and cyberspace force.

In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory Integration & Operations (AFRL/RS) Directorate, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities with knowledge and experience of Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) support. We are seeking Event/Workshop Planners to assist with this important initiative.

An active secret clearance with the ability to support the client site M-F core business hours is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities of staff, convention personnel, or clients to make arrangements for group meetings, events, workshops or conventions

  • Coordinate with other relevant organizations, as identified by AFRL/RS on event process, planning, and execution

  • Develop documents to engage industry and other stakeholders for inputs to plan engagements

  • Develop schedule for briefings and ensure timeliness of event

  • Coordinate and correlate briefing materials for engagement events

  • Attend and act as AFRL/RS lead for planning meetings

  • Develop methods to gather feedback from SMEs and industry

  • Conduct briefing material overview/edits and submit to AFRL Public Affairs Office (as needed)

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years’ experience (or equivalent work experience)

  • Active Secret security clearance

  • Experience in event and other support services, from inception and planning through execution and follow-up for military environments.

  • Effective and proven abilities in the following essential skills: organization, communication, time management, coordination, creativity, negotiation, problem solving, attention to detail, budgeting, flexibility, attention to detail, and technology proficient.
