QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and
meet the Company insurability requirements.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
Provides supervision, instruction, training and support to Job Corps students in assigned
classrooms/areas. May serve as Acting CPP Supervisor in his/her absence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
o Conducts effective classroom and/or online instruction and evaluates student attendance,
participation and performance.
o Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals.
o Provides remedial support and guidance for students to successfully complete the MyPACE
program and CPP requirements.
o Evaluates and assesses students’ readiness to transition to CDP.
o Responsible to provide students with comprehensive and individualized case and career
management support ensuring student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps
program. Establishes supportive/mentoring relationships with students throughout their
enrollment and provides personal and career counseling.
o Routinely evaluates and regularly CIS case note documents student performance, and
engagement using the case management system.
o Coordinates pre-arrival activities to ensure effective transition to Center life including pre-arrival phone calls, transportation to Center, folder review and needs assessments.
o Coordinate new student processes and activities to include introduction to Center staff, tour of
the Center, CPP welcome and 30-day celebrations.
o Ensures that CPP classes and areas are neatly organized, clean, safe and conducive to
student/staff success
o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job and student
services responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.
o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
o Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift and
appropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to
students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
o Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and
student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.
o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and
contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides
quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates
appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure
prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.
o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and
services are provided to students.
o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager
to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and
positions.
o Other duties as assigned.
