Essential Responsibilities:

1.Record start and stop of jobs in Ulti Pro.

2.Stretch per guidelines prior to start up.

3.Monitor and maintain assembly equipment during production.

a.Perform machine verification and complete first piece approval for production startup.

b.Monitor machine performance and scrap.

i.Complete repairs and adjustments as needed to maintain cycle time and eliminate rejects.

ii.Escalate when additional troubleshooting support is required.

iii.Communicate spare part usage to senior technician for inventory control.

iv.Support team leader in training new operators.

c.Complete preventative maintenance dispatches as assigned.

d.Complete teardown of rejected parts and reclaim components as directed by the Operator Instruction Training Manual.

4.Troubleshoot complex systems utilizing knowledge of various technologies including:

a.Vision systems (color cameras, barcode readers, inspection sensors).

b.Robotic applications (Denso, Fanuc)

c.Mechanical applications

d.Pneumatics

e.Electrical circuitry including the proficient use of a multimeter.

f.PLC programming

5.Knowledge of production part drawings (blueprints) and control plans.

6.Participate in weekly Gemba walks and continuous improvement.

7.Support root cause analysis of internal and external quality issues.

8.Report safety hazards, utilize lockout procedures and safety rules required in the assembly areas.

9.Complete other tasks as assigned by department leadership.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

1.Completion of all other duties as assigned by the department manager.

Education & Experience:

1.High School Diploma or G.E.D.

2.General knowledge of PLC communication.

3.General knowledge of robotics and communication of robotics.

4.General knowledge of multiple vision systems.

5.Knowledge of lockout and tag out procedures.

6.Appropriate mathematics, reading, and writing skills.

7.Basic experience or training in assembly equipment preferred.

8.Basic knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning machines.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.Frequent bending or twisting.

2.Constant walking or standing for 8 hours, possibly 12 hours.

3.Ability to use Hand Tools

4.Ability to use Power Tools

5.Occasional lifting of variable weight.

6.Safety glasses with side shields.

7.Cotton/fabric gloves if desired.

8.Covered shoes.
