Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop returnable and expendable packaging for Automotive Industry.
- Interface with OEM customers and sales personnel on program launches.
- Manage program launches with manufacturing and OEM (Ford, GM, Honda, Chrysler, Nissan and Tesla) and various tier 2 customers.
- Work with internal manufacturing teams on WIP packaging development and implementation.
- Establish WIP packaging fleet sizes with all stakeholders throughout the value stream.
- Develop packaging specifications and work instructions to establish bill of materials.
- Work with suppliers to establish cost savings opportunities on both returnable and expendable programs.
- Responsible for purchasing packaging for sample and production runs.
- Responsible for writing MER Purchase Orders for Finished Good and WIP Packaging.
- Work with shipping and container management teams on problem resolution related to customer returns and damaged containers.
- Quote WIP and FG packaging for all new business quotes, establishing capital budgets for future programs.
- Responsible for sourcing all WIP and FG packaging, both returnable and expendable.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering.
- Prior experience working within the Automotive Industry OEM customer Portals.
- Prior Automotive experience preferred.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide input to Purchasing for supplier sourcing decisions.
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Training in ADAC internal systems (AX, PDM, CN, CCN, MRO, and MER)
