Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, maintain, and distribute corporate Supplier Scorecards. Provide insights, analysis, and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders (Purchasing, Supplier Development, Material Planning, Quality, etc.) to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
  2. Develop a Global Procurement Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework that effectively measures performance across the team. Provide ongoing visibility, insights, analysis, etc.
  3. Develop detailed spend analysis across commodities and categories and identify innovative opportunities to support optimization of supplier contracts. Report resulting cost reductions as part of internal VA/VE efforts.
  4. Create in-depth commodity cost models to assess financial health across key managed-spend areas within the business. Utilize as a tool to reverse engineer raw material and component cost through a common, quantifiable Work closely with the Global Procurement team to analyze results and establish key negotiation tactics/strategies.
  5. Analyze purchase trends and identify improvement opportunities- particularly with optimal order quantities (considering MOQ, order frequency, price breaks, etc.), statistical safety stock methodology.
  6. Work cross-functionally to ensure training programs are in place and support staff analytical development opportunities. Develop analytics as are core competence for key roles within the department.
  7. Business support: serve as strategic partner to various business areas by supporting / challenging / measuring critical initiatives within the business groups; provide timely and insightful analysis that supports informed decision-making and delivering continuous improvements.
  8. Drive innovation in data presentation for recognizing buying trends, tracking costs, reporting on supplier performance, etc. Develop presentation materials for departmental and leadership updates.
  9. Provide ad-hoc reporting and support other Procurement projects/programs as necessary.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, statistics or related field is preferred.
  2. APICS certification (CSCP, CPIM, CLTD), ISM certification (CPSM), CPP, Six Sigma or related professional certifications and training preferred.
  3. 5 or more years equivalent experience within supply chain management is required.
  4. Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices and tools such as market cost indexing/benchmarking, optimal order quantities, LTA’s, Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), Sales & Operations Planning, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and trade compliance.
  5. Proven capability to perform the essential functions of this job, including an equivalent, relevant combination of education, training and experience will be considered in lieu of the specified education and experience is required.
  6. Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and sustaining high-performing procurement practices across global manufacturing supply chains.
  7. Strong ERP systems experience along with proficiency in Business Intelligence tools is preferred (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Infor LN, MS Dynamics, Oracle).

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain role that has demonstrated your ability to offer business solutions.
  2. Possess advanced Microsoft Office skills- particularly MS Excel and Access.
  3. Understanding of supply chain business processes (procurement, inventory management, demand/forecast planning, capacity planning, manufacturing, etc.)
  4. Ability to grasp analytical insights and interpret for meaningful solutions.
  5. Ability to offer thought leadership and strategic recommendations for improvements.
  6. Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques and problem-solving methodologies.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including consensus building, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  8. Flexible and capable of adapting to changing business needs with passion for ongoing professional development.
  9. Experience developing and maintaining accurate statistical analysis for Global Procurement that incorporate industry/market intelligence.
  10. Ability to understand and apply historical purchase trends and research demands to our forecasting models.
  11. Experience identifying and resolving purchasing exceptions in a highly efficient, collaborative manner.
