Summary:  The CQI Instructional Designer will support the area of Continuous Quality Improvement. This position will work collaboratively with internal staff and external partners to create content for online courses, in-person workshops, and educational tools. This position will build online courses in the learning management system and use available learning analytics data to measure course effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Working with content experts, this position will create learning experiences that enhance knowledge retention for adult learners on the subjects of patient-centered surgical care and healthcare quality improvement.

This exempt position will report to the CQI Instructional Design Manager in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote. *Please submit a portfolio with resume*

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 2+ years of instructional design experience developing online and in-person learning is required. Experience using Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity working with Learning Management Systems is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat; comfortable learning new software when required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
