Our client, a prestigious law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for a Litigation Attorney  to join their winning team in Wilmington.

Insurance defense is preferable, but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage files from inception to trial
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements
  • Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation
  • Take depositions
  • Draft motions
  • Appear in court
  • Medical record review
  • Client reporting

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 – 5 years of insurance defense litigation and general liability exposure experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in auto defense litigation or plaintiff’s personal injury
  • Experience using Practice Master software highly preferred
  • Ability to identify risk, review and assess medical records, depositions and other legal documents
  • Able to work independently with strong attention to detail along with the ability to organize and prioritize workload working with an electronic diary
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and customers and negotiate on their behalf
  • Demonstrable track record of success in liability defense
  • Experience and facility with medical records
  • DE Bar required.
