Job Description

Weld aluminum boats in spec with departmental production schedule.

Key Responsibilities, Knowledge and skills for success in this position:

  • Demonstrate competency in keel welding.
  • Demonstrate competency in welding transoms.
  • Demonstrate limited competency in jig welding.
  • Keep a clean and safe work area.
  • Properly use, store and clean required safety equipment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general technical procedures and drawings with supervision.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations ie; fractions, percentages rations and proportions.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Wearing of company provided personal protection equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or welding certification.
  • 1 year or less experience in welding or demonstrated ability to perform essential duties.                                                

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Frequent reaching with arms and hands.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Walk, climb and balance frequently.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of 50 pounds or more.
  • Close vision focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
