Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing/Director of Nursing , the RN Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the ICF Nurses to ensure that all medical/nursing needs are being addressed
Requirements:
College degree in nursing required
Valid NYS Registered Professional Nursing License required
One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred
Qualified NYS Driver's License and maintained throughout employment
Previous experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities preferred
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
On site supervision of the ICF staff nurses
Be available as scheduled to nursing staff to assess medical problems and advise on appropriate action
On Call Responsibilities include Telephone Triage and/or on site evaluation if deemed necessary
Manage staff or the person’s health related problems in the absence of the Assistant Director/ Director of Nursing
On- going monitoring of the person’s medical records to ensure compliance with the multitude of medical nursing ICF regulations. Progress to be discussed in Monthly meetings with Assistant Director/Director of Nursing. Any issues are brought to the Assistant Director/Director of Nursing’s immediate attention
Ensure Nursing staff remain compliant with continuity of care and partake in audits of charts
