LPN – Float Pool
Full Time- 72 hrs. Biweekly 630am- 7pm
$1.00/hr premium pay for all hours worked
About the position:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and in a team relationship, performs a wide range of nursing care activities and related services to provide care for the personal needs and comfort of patients while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Maintains and demonstrates competencies in clinical practice to include age specifics. Maintains clinical competency and participates in continuing education related to health care issues.
About our department:
The Staffing Office is a dynamic, fast paced environment that supports quality patient care and staff satisfaction. Our department is comprised of a group of trained employees who are deployed by the Administrative Nursing Supervisor to multiple units within the hospital.
LPNs in the staffing office/float pool provide comprehensive care to assigned patients in key areas of the hospital that could include:
- Women's Health
- Total Rehab Care
- Observation/Short Stay
- Renal/Palliative Care
- Med Surg
- Behavioral Health
- COVID Unit
Successful LPNs in this department must be autonomous, self-motivated and flexible to move seamlessly throughout the hospital where need arise.
Education – Graduate from an approved nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience – One year experience in relevant specialty preferred
Licensure/Certification – Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as LPNBLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as LPNBLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
