Job Description:
This position is part of TCS IoT and Digital Engineering horizontal business unit to drive the growth of product engineering services across several vertical segments in North America. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of industry experience shaping proposals, building strong client relationships, and drive solution-based sales while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create business opportunities and enhance value for manufacturing clients.
The Intelligent Products Unit is focused on helping customers build complex electronic, electromechanical and software products to leverage effectively the ongoing digital revolution and enhance the value to their end customers. While AI, Automation, Analytics are playing a major role in this evolution, customers continue to build electronics products that are central to the digital foundation. They continue to adopt platform-based approach to facilitate quick turnaround in New Product Introduction, build edge capabilities and analytics at edge into these products to enable them to become integral part of the larger digital solutions and applications.
The business unit focuses on a range of industries including Industrial Machinery and Controls, Telecom, Hitech, Medical, among others.
Key responsibilities:.
  • Support Intelligent Product Engineering Design services business across several Industries such as - HiTech, IMC, Medical Devices, Energy, Telecom, etc.
  • Analyze the customer requirement (Proactive pitch, RFI, RFP) to arrive at the best fit / innovative solution to meet customer needs
  • Provide oversight to large / strategic transformative engagements with our clients, participate in steering committees, address issues and challenges in delivery, execution, support
  • Engage with different sales and pre-sales teams of TCS to architect and articulate comprehensive solutions for addressing the client needs
  • Co-ordinate with external partners (where necessary) to define product leverage for client needs / fit
  • Support development of sales & pre-sales pitch & value proposition and win high quality proposals with top notch brand messaging in next gen product engineering solutions and architectures.
  • Position the Unit and its Services in the Market in engagements with Analysts, Business Partners, Product Vendors, Events, Seminars etc.
  • Put in place the delivery engagement for executing the client needs
  • Actively drive awareness of Intelligent Product Engineering Services with targeted clients - tradeshows, research-led thought leadership, client roadshows and workshops, etc. 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Industry experience in Medical, Industrial Machinery and Controls, Telecom, Media, Hitech, Semiconductor 
  • Worked across industries & partner products · Consultative sales experience with advisory services and & skills for Point of View articulation at CX level. Consulting engagements experience including blue printing etc. 
  • Experience in leading large bids especially in electronics and software product engineering services in sales / pre-sales responsibilities 
  • A good understanding of technology trends, market forces and industry imperatives, IOT, AI, etc 
  • Should have knowledge of Embedded Product Development cycles including Hardware, Firmware, VLSI, Mechanical, Test & Validation, Certification, Manufacturing 
  • Understanding of various Development & Testing Tools used in the above mentioned areas 
  • Sound knowledge on Digital, Analog, RF and power electronics domains, Key Hardware Interfaces e.g. Ethernet, USB, CAN, HMDI, etc., Key Hardware Components e.g. Processors/controllers/DSPs, FPGA, CPLD, RF components (5G, LTE, WiFi-BT, GPS) ,Printed Circuit Board (PCB) etc., Embedded Software, Software defined products. 
  • Should understand newer Technology areas like Edge Computing, AI, ML, Edge Analytics, AR/VR Preferred 
Qualifications 
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
Salary Range: $157,000-$200,000 a year
