We are currently hiring a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor for our new distribution center in Gastonia, NC. This position will begin at our Charlotte distribution center, located at 10137 Horton Rd, and is estimated to transition to our new permanent home in Gastonia in late August 2025. Hours for 1st Shift are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.

Job Description
Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on both incoming and outgoing shipments. Oversee receiving operations for inbound materials and prepare items for outbound shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse logistics operations.
Principle Responsibilities
Inbound/Receiving Operations:
Studies purchase orders, receiving notices, bills of lading, invoices, and delivery schedules to determine receiving priorities, work assignments, and unloading procedures required to meet operational schedules
Oversees incoming receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of inbound shipments
Determines space requirements and directs placement of received materials in designated storage areas
Inspects unloading operations to ensure compliance with receiving specifications and damage prevention protocols
Coordinates with quality control and inventory teams to verify received materials against purchase orders and specifications
Directs the movement of received materials from the receiving platform to the storage and work areas
Processes receiving documentation and updates inventory systems accurately
Outbound/Shipping Operations:
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out the position of the shipment
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications
Directs movement of shipments from the shipping platform to storage and work areas
Prepares and verifies all shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness
Qualifications
Competencies
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair
Issues written and oral instructions to subordinates
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates
Adjusts errors and complaints for both receiving and shipping operations
Understands and applies Company policies and procedures
Maintains good housekeeping in the area and adheres to established Company safety policies at all times
Responsible for the adherence and execution of standardized procedures
Responsible for the correction and accuracy of all work performed under their supervision
Serves as an example to subordinates and enforces all applicable safety rules
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
1 – 3 years of previous warehouse supervisory experience
SAP and RF Experience
Experience in both shipping and receiving operations
