Job Id:   ** EPC-003 Job Title:   Field Engineer Location:  Southeast, Texas Resource Manager:  Gilbert Forcade Description: Field Engineer Description Fortune 500 Mid-Stream Company We are currently seeking a Field Engineer for our client in Southeast, TX. The Field Engineer is responsible for plant and pipeline related facilities projects that require engineering experience including: Ensures that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's Engineering guidelines and specifications, industry codes and standards, and regulatory agency requirements to meet necessary functionality and performance requirements. Provides technical support to the Company's operations. Plans, organizes, and manages capital projects. Performs and check design calculations and equipment sizing. Performs Plant Optimization Studies (Surveillance) to determine if existing assets are performing to expectations. Prepares project design scopes in support of commercial development. Prepares bid packages for equipment and outside services including engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Participates in reviews of designs prepared by outside engineering contractors, vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers. Monitors field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications. Prepares cost estimates and schedules. Prepares project completion reports including construction material inventories and as-built drawings. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Chemical or Mechanical preferred). 2 or more years experience with project management, process/project engineering at a continuous operation chemical plant. Must be a strong problem solver with strong technical knowledge of process plant operations and project management. Excellent team player with strong leadership and communication skills Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word. Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers at all levels within the organization. Ability to travel up-to 50% domestically required. Experience with Empac, Icarus estimating software or other estimating experience, and scheduling is preferred. Experience in the hydrocarbon or pipeline industry is preferred. Demonstrated ability to prepare facility/pipeline project cost estimates, project schedules, conduct scoping/feasibility studies, and manage projects.
