Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with expertise in multi-family buildings to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the structural design of diverse projects, with a strong focus on apartment buildings and multi-level structures. Your proficiency in post-tensioning and extensive experience will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality structural designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the structural design of multi-family buildings and other complex structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and efficient designs.
  • Utilize your expertise in post-tensioning to optimize structural performance.
  • Apply knowledge of seismic and wind design principles to ensure safety and resilience.
  • Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • 5-20 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on multi-family buildings.
  • Proficiency in relevant design codes, standards, and technical software.
  • Experience in high seismic and wind regions.
  • Expertise in structural steel, wood-framed construction, elevated concrete, and post-tensioned concrete.
  • Familiarity with expansive soils and their impact on foundation design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
