Location: Charlotte, NC

Our client has been delivering exceptional architectural design, civil engineering, and structural engineering services across the United States for over 25 years now, with a focus on the Southeast region. Our team's strength lies in our ability to understand and manage each client's unique vision through functional design. We believe that building a personal relationship with our clients and comprehending their needs is key to fostering trust in our team. To ensure that projects of all sizes receive the same level of detail, we have a well-defined team structure.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Architect who is a highly creative and skilled professional responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and structures. This Architect will be instrumental in shaping the physical environment, combining artistic and technical expertise to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

We Have:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement.
  • Work in a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Contribute to environmentally sustainable building projects.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Architectural registration or on the path to registration (preferred)
  • Design and construction document development experience
  • Familiarity with the construction administration process (RFI’s, submittals, and punch lists)
  • Work with clients and team members throughout the project – from schematic design to construction administration
  • Ability to self-direct, multitask, and manage support staff
  • Strong visual and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Revit, 3D Modeling, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)

You Will:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and vision for a project. Develop design concepts, sketches, and plans that align with the project's goals, functionality, and aesthetics.
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Ensure that designs meet local building codes and regulations. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate structural, electrical, and mechanical systems into the architectural plans.
  • Evaluate potential building sites, considering factors such as location, topography, and environmental impact. Make informed decisions about site selection and design based on these assessments.
  • Oversee all phases of the project, from initial concept to construction completion. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources. Coordinate with contractors, builders, and subcontractors to ensure that the project is executed according to design specifications.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on project progress, address their concerns, and obtain feedback for design refinements.
  • Explore new materials, construction methods, and sustainable design practices to create innovative and environmentally friendly structures.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure that the construction work aligns with the design and adheres to established standards.
  • Work in collaboration with interior designers, landscape architects, and other professionals to create holistic design solutions for buildings and spaces.
