Senior Electrical Engineer with an emphasis on fossil and hydro power generation. Experience with multi-discipline projects in fossil and hydro power generation is required. Familiarity with Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, or other power generating utility processes is preferred. Desired experience includes low voltage and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls for both low voltage and medium voltage, interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems and the use of power distribution system modeling software (ETAP or similar). He or she will be responsible for the design and/or checking of deliverables associated with Power Generation projects which typically includes Single Line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC & DC elementaries, equipment and switchboard wiring diagrams, bills of materials, vendor mechanism drawings, and logic diagrams. This position coordinates the electrical work with a multi-disciplined team throughout the entire projects development process and is accountable to ensuring assigned projects are completed “on time”, “on budget” and “perform to the clients’ expectations”. Participates and/or leads design reviews meeting as required. Establishes client relations and must be able to effectively assume a lead role at project meetings and communicate project and technical information.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
- BS In Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
- 10 to 15 years of experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) required
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for back-checking own work to minimize rework.
- Duties may also include administrative & various support activities related to an engineering office environment.
- Travel to client facilities for the purpose of gathering field information and participating in design review meetings/other may be required.
- Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to understand and apply engineering design principles.
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
- Possess willingness to accept responsibility.
- Ability to work on high performance teams.
- Available to work overtime as necessary to meet schedules and commitments.
- Must possess the ability to drive assigned projects to completion.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE:
$95,680 - $170,560
The expected compensation is a range determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate, internal equity, work location, and hiring department’s fiscal resources.
